Products

In CXF, "Products" are fundamental objects that represent items available for purchase within the implementation. These objects share a similar structure to "Stories" in terms of fields but are distinguished by their ability to be acquired by contacts.

The key aspects and features of "Products" in CXF include:

  • Product Templates: "Products" are based on specific templates called "Product Templates." These templates define the type of product and its structure, allowing for standardization in creating and managing similar products.
  • Types of Products: "Products" can be categorized into various types, such as physical, virtual, or downloadable, based on their nature and attributes. Physical products may be simple, with a single SKU, or complex, with multiple SKUs and inventory management.
  • Inventory Management: Physical products and virtual products with limited availability support inventory management. This involves tracking available quantities, managing initial stock, and updating inventory as purchases are made.
  • SKU and Prices: Each "Product" is associated with one or more SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) representing its variants and specific characteristics. SKUs include information such as product cost, selling price, and initial available stock.
  • Attributions to Contacts: "Products" have the capability to attribute information and points to contacts when they interact with or purchase a specific product. This allows for profiling contacts based on their purchases and product preferences.

"Products" in CXF play an essential role in the platform by enabling the purchase of items and services. Their versatile structure and ability to adapt to different types of products, whether physical, virtual, or downloadable, make product management and sales within the implementation effective and efficient.
